Green Teens has been designed to empower students from underserved communities by introducing them to concepts surrounding sustainability in ways that are engaging and interactive. The project particularly emphasizes on the advantages of practical learning and aims to utilize various creative educational tools in making the subject matter more exciting, encouraging and integral.
Initial efforts to achieve the same will focus on developing original resources including a teacher instruction manual that guides educators in incorporating sustainable entrepreneurship within classroom lessons. The project also looks forward to going further beyond traditional teaching methods by implementing diverse activities including sustainability-focused essay writing competitions, business pitch contests, and poster making competitions that tap into childrens’ critical thinking and creative expression abilities when exploring real-world solutions to environmental issues.
Through such awareness and advocacy generating initiatives across creative platforms, Green Teens seeks to build a youth culture of sustainability-aware leaders of a greener tomorrow.
